My experience with Himalaya Herbals Refreshing and Clarifying Toner

Packaging: Toner comes packed in an aqua color plastic bottle with a flip – top cap. The cap closes with a click which makes it travel friendly.

Texture: It is liquid and thus runny in consistency.

Fragrance: It has a nice refreshing fragrance somewhat like lemons.

Previously, I was using rose water as a toner for my combination skin. I thought of changing it to some herbal brand of toner and I happen to choose this Himalaya’s toner.

After cleansing my face with cleansing milk, I take few drops of this toner on cotton pad and wipe my face and neck with it in upwards direction. It is a bit soapy and produces little bit of froth if you shake the bottle. After application, it takes few seconds to dry. I feel slight cooling sensation on my skin. It gives an oil-free look instantly without drying the skin as it is alcohol free. But after few hours, my skin turns oily which I don’t like. Although it says that it’s for all skin types, it did not suit my combination skin. May be for dry skin it will work well.

  • Alcohol free
  • Gives an oil free look instantly
  • Does not dry out the skin
  • All the ingredients are natural and mild
  • Dermatologically tested
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic
  • Affordable
  • Available widely
  • Travel friendly

  • Does not work on pores as claimed
  • Does not control oil for longer duration
  • Not suitable for oily skin

HASB recommendation: It didn’t work that great for me. Maybe, I will try some toner from different brands or will try DIY toner at home.

HASB Rating: 3/5
